After graduating from Northeastern University with an M.A. in English, Lana  co-founded and edited a poetry journal, A Letter Among Friends. In 1987, she attended The Breadloaf Writers’ Conference where she studied with Marvin Bell, who encouraged her to write from her “Greek Connection.”  She has read at the Golden Street Gallery in New London, Connecticut, at the Hoxsie Gallery in Westerly, Rhode Island, and in June collaborated with poet Rhonda Ward and painter Pam Gordinier for a reading and exhibit at the Courtyard Gallery in Mystic, Connecticut. The three have published a book of poems and paintings featured at the Courtyard Gallery. Lana was the opening reader for J.D. McClatchy at The Mystic Arts Cafe, and most recently has completed a collection of poetry for a degree from Wesleyan University under the mentorship of Edwina Trentham.
